Conventional tungsten alloy products exhibit a unique property combination. Properly processed materials show a combination of special properties as follows:
*High Density
This is the reason why tungsten alloy products called tungsten heavy alloys. Due to the tungsten alloy products' special physical properties, tungsten content in conventional heavy alloys varies from 90 to 98 weight percent and is the reason for their high density (between 16.5 and 18.75 g/cc). At the same weights high density alloy can provide the same energy absorption as lead using 1/3 less material.
*High Melting Point
Of all metals in pure form, tungsten has the highest melting point (3,422 °C, 6,192 °F), lowest vapor pressure (at temperatures above 1,650 °C, 3,000 °F) and the highest tensile strength.
*Small Volume
High density make tungsten alloy products fishing sinkers/weights smaller than the conventional lead fishing weights. It will be hung up far less with a tungsten sinker than with a lead sinker because of its smaller size.

Tungsten heavy alloys are harder than lead. It will not be stuck in the jowl of the fish. So the shape will be maintained longer.
*Superior Wearing Resistance
Tungsten heavy alloys wearing resistance to sulfur corrosion oil recovery equipment, has excellent wearing resistance in high concentrations of CO2、H2S、Cl- corrosion environments.
*High Ultimate Tensile Strength
Tensile strength or ultimate tensile strength is a limit state of tensile stress that leads to tensile failure in the manner of ductile failure or brittle failure. Tensile strength can be quoted as either true stress or engineering stress.
*High Ductility
For tungsten heavy alloys good ductility, it often used in armor-piercing and armor-exploding has attracted wide attention.
*High Temperature Resistance
The joint with high temperature resistance was prepared by using vacuum diffusion bonding equipment, and the structure of the joint consists of Nb-Ni metallic compounds as strengthening phases distributing on the matrix Cu-Ni alloy. Optimum parameters had been obtained as bonding temperature 1403K, bonding time 50min, bonding pressure 7.5MPa and cooling velocity 5K/min.
*Low Vapor Pressure
The atmospheric pressure boiling point of tungsten heavy alloys (also known as the normal boiling point) is the temperature at which the vapor pressure equals the ambient atmospheric pressure.

Tungsten alloy are a high density materials, tungsten-based material produced by powder metallurgy techniques and is widely used for dies in the extrusion of metals of its minimal extruded metal pick-up.
*High Impact Resistance and Crack Resistance
In materials science and metallurgy, impact resistance is a material's resistance to fracture when stressed. It is defined as the amount of energy per volume that a material can absorb before rupturing.
