90WMoNiFe tungsten alloy is made from tungsten powder, nickel powder, molybdenum powder, and iron powder through pressing and sintering. The detailed production process is as follows:
1. Mixing
• Accurately weigh each component according to the alloy composition (e.g., 90% tungsten, with the remainder being molybdenum, nickel, and iron).
• Use a ball mill or other mechanical mixing equipment to uniformly blend the powders.
2. Pressing
• Load the mixed powders into a mold and press them into green compacts.
3. Sintering
• Place the green compacts into a vacuum or hydrogen-protected furnace and sinter at a high temperature of 1200°C to 1600°C.
• During the sintering process, tungsten particles partially melt and bond with each other, forming a dense alloy structure.
4. Heat Treatment
• Apply heat treatment processes such as annealing, solution treatment, or aging to optimize the alloy's strength, hardness, and toughness.
5. Machining
• Perform machining processes such as turning, milling, or grinding on the sintered or hot-worked alloy to achieve the required dimensions and surface finish.
6. Quality Inspection
• Conduct tests on the final product for dimensions, density, non-destructive flaw detection, and mechanical properties.
7. Packaging and Delivery
• Package the finished products appropriately for shipment and delivery.
This systematic process ensures the production of high-performance 90WMoNiFe tungsten alloy that meets stringent requirements for various applications.
